Yes, because an Ultra is not 7 feet wide, you can stagger them and that will help distribut the load and allow for really lashing those Hogs down. They will move and fall if you do not strap them good. Make sure you have front wheel chocks installed for both bikes if this is a long haul. But why trailer if you can ride? I hope we are not talking about trailering two full sized touring bike to someplace like Sturgis, I do not understand the logic of trailering to a bike rally, unlesss it is a radical custom job that is only for show.
Bart, please go out to mommy and shut the h–l up, everytime you type anything it just proves your an idiot!
should be no problem
Physically they should fit, but that’s not the whole issue. It really depends on the load capacity of the trailer your using. The load capacity can vary among trailers with the same dimensions.
Figure for two full dress harleys your over 1000 pounds. If your only going a short distance you can probably get away with one of those light weight trailers but if your going to be hauling them any distance and over interstates, I would want one that had a minimum capacity of 1200 pounds and is rated for highway speeds.
The trailer will have a load capacity rating marked on it (if its a factory made trailer). Those bikes will be around 800 pounds loaded, so you need at least 1600 lbs carrying capacity, and thats just the bikes with fuel. The trailer also needs some solid mounting points for tie down straps, two for each bike. 7ft wide will be tight, but if it meets the other requirements the trailer will do it.
I would say NO.
I have a 7 by 10 and its all we can do to get a couple of dirt bikes on it.
Realize that LOADING will take some space.
And backing one onto that trailer will be like a magic trick.
I would cover them with a tarp, there are a lot of Harley haters out there that will see those Harley’s and they will throw beer cans at them
As others have said, it must have the capacity to carry the weight.
If it does, then you can carry two baggers in there. I have a 7×12 enclosed that I have set-up to carry three. one bagger and two non-baggers. If you have the proper set-ups in there, there should be no problems at all.
Bart, you are indeed a TOOL. All you do is to try to stir up $hit in here about hating harleys. Why dont you get a grip and just enjoy riding instead.
The vast majority of folks dont care what you are riding, as long as you ARE riding. A soccer mom yapping on a cell phone won’t care what type a motorcycle you are riding as she runs you over. You would be nothing more than an inconvienence.
I would say they would fit, if not try facing them in different directions and/or taking the bags off.
