Which bike would you choose Yamaha V-Star Custom or Suzuki GS500F?
I just got my motorcycle permit the other day and was plannign on buying a bike to learn on. Of these two bikes which would you choose? Also, what is easier to learn on, a sport bike or a cruiser?

The V-Star is a bigger bike and I have owned a V-Star 1100 in between my Harley’s. I liked the V-Star and I would recommend the bike to anyone that is just learning. If you want a sport bike that is fine, but get some experience first before you jump into a motorcycle that might be too powerful for your riding skill level.
The V-Star comes in 250cc, 650cc, 1100cc, and1300cc.
I grew up riding dirt bikes and quads, as a kid. When I grew up and got my first road bike I tried out a lot of them, I really wanted a Harley, but couldn’t afford one. So I bought a 650 V Star…. And love it, I would also suggest the V Star over the sport bike. The V Star is well balanced and probably the easiest bike I have ever ridden. Hope this helps

When buying a bike unless it is really cheap. do not buy it to learn on. It does not take long to learn then you will not be happy with it. I would suggest a Vulcan 900 Custom. Nice bike, good price not too big not too small.
