I bought a 1994 yamaha fzr600 for 0 cash with no title about 2 years ago from a friend in my town. he bought it from my neighbor. my neighbor signed the title over to him. he had it registered, licensed, and insured w/ 45 day plates. drove the bike and everything. well he ended up neglecting the bike and playing around w/ it in the neighborhood and wrecking it. he never rode it again. when i bought it ,it wasnt running and missing parts but for about 0 i got it ready to go, during this time he(the guy who had the bike)was getting the paperwork ready and got shipped to iraq! his mom moved 400 miles away and they sold the house where they were staying and couldnt find they title it has been 2 yrs and i cannot get in touch with him! What are my options?
I really want to get this bike on the road after so many hard hours of cleaning and fixing this bike!
(i live in south carolina)I got in contact with the guy he is in Korea but I cant get a mailing address from him!! ugghh!!
He told me to let his cousin do the signing for him but on the form 400 from the dmv for a duplicate asks for a sc drivers license # which he doesnt have
anyhow he is being hard to deal with
what are my odds on a forged bill of sale (by his cousin with his permission of course)
and no title?

at 0600 I discovered it missing. I called the police and they took a report. They asked if I would prosecute and I said I would. The police officer said it was a class four felony. I asked if they were going to come over and take prints and they said no. Knowing that the motorcycle had a nail in the front tire; they would probably have to take it in to get fixed, so I visited every motorcycle shop within a five mile Radius of my house to give them a heads up on the stolen bike. they were all pretty open to help me out. I have searched the whole neighborhood. One neighbor said she thought she saw it in the back of a pick-up truck and gave me the licence plate number; I'm not sure how to run a plate? Is there anything I'm missing? I feel helpless; I'm not sure the police have time to look for it. maybe they will stumble upon it. I feel guilty; It's my fault I know!!

i have a yamaha vmax 1200.Is it possible to fit a fuel gage coz this bike only comes with a fuel switch.When it on reserve, the only indication is a red warning light and i dont know how far it'll take me on reserve.
Where also could i get original exhaust system coz when i bought it the former owner had fitted it with Cobra pipes and it's very2 loud. I wished i lived in a neighborhood where everyone is deaf.

I saw a metropolian scooter from honda. Interested in buy one to get around in my neighborhood. Get to and from work. I work about 15 block from my house. I current drive a car. I want to have one to get to work. Save on gas. I never ride a bicycle before. I want to know how hard it is to learn to ride a scooter. Is this a good starting point. Is this a good model for 2,000. I purchase a electrical one before for 3 hundred. It broke after 2 days. Are these more durable like a regular motorcycle but only slower and lower speed. I want to know also if license is required and insurance required. Any requirement. I live in northern california. Is this a high theif item. Is it easy stolen. I want to know will it be safe parking in a parking lot or on the street. How do you park a scooter. In the same spot as cars.
