I bought a 1994 yamaha fzr600 for 0 cash with no title about 2 years ago from a friend in my town. he bought it from my neighbor. my neighbor signed the title over to him. he had it registered, licensed, and insured w/ 45 day plates. drove the bike and everything. well he ended up neglecting the bike and playing around w/ it in the neighborhood and wrecking it. he never rode it again. when i bought it ,it wasnt running and missing parts but for about 0 i got it ready to go, during this time he(the guy who had the bike)was getting the paperwork ready and got shipped to iraq! his mom moved 400 miles away and they sold the house where they were staying and couldnt find they title it has been 2 yrs and i cannot get in touch with him! What are my options?
I really want to get this bike on the road after so many hard hours of cleaning and fixing this bike!
(i live in south carolina)I got in contact with the guy he is in Korea but I cant get a mailing address from him!! ugghh!!
He told me to let his cousin do the signing for him but on the form 400 from the dmv for a duplicate asks for a sc drivers license # which he doesnt have
anyhow he is being hard to deal with
what are my odds on a forged bill of sale (by his cousin with his permission of course)
and no title?

Whew get ready for this one cause im kinda confused, last January I told a guy I would sell him my bike well I deployed to Iraq and my wife called me and said theres a guy here to buy the bike I said yeah write out a contract with him"he was paying half now and the other half in a couple of months" so she wrote out that he paid 50% and that the bike is being released to him, they agreed to meet up the next day to do the legal work at the on post legal office, The guy is in the same company as me and he is the chaplains assistant lol, he signed the contract and didnt take it with him when he left and didnt show up the next day to do the legal paperwork, so My wife looked for him for months but the day before he picked up the bike he got transfered so she couldnt find him, heres what happened I am back and it is January a year later I was walking thru the parking lot and I saw a bike that looked like mine and to my suprise thats my bike, and I walked over to it and the guy that was riding took his helmet off and it wasnt the guy I sold the bike to, I walked over and said OMG thats my bike and he said no this is my bike and said if you got a title then we can talk so I went home and got the title and took it to him and said yepthats my bike and he said to me well I got the title for that also, long story short the guy I sold the bike to sold it to his neighbor and the neighbor said aww I dont need a title and turned around and sold it to this guy I went to the DMV and they said its under the guys name who was riding the bike and they said he has a bonded title, so i dont know, MP's are telling me to go to civil court, civil court is telling me to go to MP's, the guy who I realesed the bike to says he cant pay me but I wonder if I can just repo the bike and sell it, I have 3 buyers with cash burning holes in there pockets, my 1sg told me I cant repo it, but isnt it my bike still our paper agreement has expired, and it wasnt his to sell, he had no bill of sale or title

at 0600 I discovered it missing. I called the police and they took a report. They asked if I would prosecute and I said I would. The police officer said it was a class four felony. I asked if they were going to come over and take prints and they said no. Knowing that the motorcycle had a nail in the front tire; they would probably have to take it in to get fixed, so I visited every motorcycle shop within a five mile Radius of my house to give them a heads up on the stolen bike. they were all pretty open to help me out. I have searched the whole neighborhood. One neighbor said she thought she saw it in the back of a pick-up truck and gave me the licence plate number; I'm not sure how to run a plate? Is there anything I'm missing? I feel helpless; I'm not sure the police have time to look for it. maybe they will stumble upon it. I feel guilty; It's my fault I know!!

the hoses are dry roted and the battery is shot and the carbs are gumed i want to know how much things like this usually cost and how hard it is to do and what it will cost to get back on the road after sitting for two years my neighbor wants me to buy it for 0 should i?

I'm looking to buy a (2 wheel) bicycle trailer/jogger from my neighbor, it's Pacific brand, and I've been looking on the net for the bike wheel attachment (as I'd be using it for a bike trailer only) but have been failing. From the looks of it, it attaches to the left side wheel, and I need to know where I can find a left side tow bar, otherwise I can't use it.
