Is this a good deal for this motorcycle?
hi im a new rider and going to buy a used 1987 kawasaki ex500 for 1200$ the bike has 36,500 miles on it and up-to date parts is this a good deal?

That’s pretty high considering the mileage and the age of the bike. But if you’re bent on getting it, you should inspect it first so that you don’t end up spending right away if you get it. Here’s a list that you can use if you’re not being accompanied by an expert in bikes or a mechanic.

This will be helpful irregardless because you may be able to point out other things that your friend or mechanic may miss. Use the list to either 1. Lower the price even more by showing other important factors that need to be done to ride it safely; and 2. Avoid getting an old bike with an already disputed price and spending even more because maintenance is already due.
If you’re a beginner, you should make sure that your bike is safe to ride because a having problems with a 500cc bike while moving in traffic could be fatal.
kind of high in price most likely find a 98 for that check ebay for bikes of same id think that was high for a 87 anything i payed 100 bucks for a 99 honda needed some work rode it three yrs sold it for 500 and stil made money sorry
