Besides the book previously mentioned, you could also try the following site:

It’s a rather large list of publisher sites online.

You should get a copy of the book "2009 Writer’s Market" by Robert Brewer. It will give you a lot of good information about how to prepare a book proposal, how to format manuscript pages, etc.
It also contains listings of agents and publishers and shows which agent/publisher is looking for what types of books.
Good luck!
After your book has gone through more than one draft, and it is proofread by someone who knows what they are doing, and it is the absolute best it can be, go to the library or chain bookstore, and look for a reference book like Writer’s Market (or some similar name).
Look for publishers who will accept unsolicited manuscripts (manuscripts that don’t go through an agent). Read the publisher’s description. If they say something specific like "query", send them a letter with a synopsis of your book. Don’t send the whole book, yet. Do whatever they say in the description.
Whenever you send the whole manuscript, include a SASE with sufficient postage.
An alternative is to try and get an agent. There are reference books listing literary agents; also read their description. Good luck!
