How much do you pay for motorcycle insurance?
I'm trying to get an idea of how much I'll pay for motorcycle insurance. I'm 20, with a good driving record, who is looking to buy a honda rebel as a starter bike. So, if you could tell me your age, gender, insurance company, and how much you pay, it would be greatly appreciated. Please only serious answers.
TIA

I am 43 male and I pay $130 a year for my BMW bike.My insurance co is Progressive. All insurance is high until you get into your later 20′s so you could pay twice that amount.
im 20/m aflac i have a GSX-R 1000 and i payed about $200 a month and i have a good driving record
male age 27 with good record, $103 for six months with American family
It doesn’t matter what the other guys pays, there are too many variables. If you can pay for the bike outright you ll only need liability and that is almost cheap, esp for a used rebel. If you need comprehensive to satisfy the lien holder the insurance goes way up. I think you’ll be at 250 a year for liability and 600 a year for full coverage.
I am 45 I ride a custom built Harley looking bike I have formost Ins. at around $600 a year.
50+, 1100 sport bike and a 650 supermoto, liability and uninsured motorist coverage, $79/year. Progressive Insurance
Geico, full coverage 300.00 a year
It goes by bike value, a Rebel 250 will be cheap compared to a 600 or 1000.
The kawasaki ninja 250R is about $400 a YEAR for me.
You’re not 25 yet or even 21 so you’ll get a higher rate. The good thing is your bike is inexpensive so comprehension and theft will keep the rate low, liability is cheap on bikes.
Here’s something to consider – many companies only pay a max of $1,000 and I have full coverage health and accident insurance through another policy. Medical coverage will cost you dearly so if you have health insurance I’d opt out of it all together but check your policy before you decide. Being 20 puts you in a "tweener" position, many your age don’t have coverage unless they are a full-time student covered under their parents policy or are employed with their own coverage.
I’m much older, much experienced, and have a much higher valued and larger bike – mine is $400 a year full coverage without medical – State Farm. Progressive recently quoted me $550 without medical coverage. I am established State Farm customer, with auto and home… that helps also.
45 – 350 Year for full coverage – Geico – Perfect driving record Harley Electra Glide & Harley Shovelhead
Male 51 progressive $528, ’80 CB900C, ’01 CB750 Nighthawk, ’03 Shadow 750.
limits 250K, 500K, 100K
Uninsured motorist included. UM/UIM is the most expensive part of the policy.
Note that you can get quotes from progressive online. You can also compare different levels of coverage.

My attorney scolded me severly once for not carrying UM/UIM. Have carried it ever since.
it really depends on your age.. in your early 20s youll be paying almost twice as much as these guys above me, youll probably be looking at at least 130 a month
45 male excellent driving record one speeding ticket $321.00 a year for a 07 H-D Sportster
