How do you get license plates for a homemade motorcycle in Coloado?
I am thinking about building my own motorcycle and I was just wondering what is the process to get a title and license plates for it? I am going to buy all the parts and build the frame myself so I will not have a VIN number. How do I get a VIN number? Will I have to stamp it into the frame somewhere? Will I have to have safety inspections or emission tests on the bike? Is there any specific measurement requirements(does it have to so long, so high, minimun weight or anything like that)?
Thanks for any comments

I’m sure it will need to be inspected for all safety requirements (lights, turn signals etc). If your State requires emission tests, then yes. Make sure you keep all paperwork for items you use to build it that have serial numbers on them. This includes (especially) bills of sale. You don’t want to get busted for stolen parts later. Contacting a bike shop may help with all the requirements.
CONTACT YOUR LOCAL (DMV) DEPARTMENT OF MOTOR VEHICLES OFFICE, THEY WILL BE ABLE TO ANSWER ANY AND ALL OF YOUR QUESTIONS AND AT THE SAME TIME YOU WILL BE GETTING THE CORRECT ANSWER TO YOUR QUESTION.
