I just bought a 1991 suzuki bandit 400 and need to know how to obtain a title for it in Illinois. It was lost a couple owners ago and the guy previously named on the title is unreachable. I've heard some things, get a bond title but that sounds extrememly difficult and expensive or go through a title service from Maine or Mississippi, but it's alot more expensive for a bike less than 15 years old, which this bike is just now 15 years old. Any recommendations? I've checked the numbers and it is not a stolen bike.
Im thinking of building one to pull behind a 150cc scooter to carry camping gear. I think it would track better as a one wheel design, similar to the old vespa and cushman designs. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I have this motorcycle helmet the HJC cs-2 and it has that lil visor thing on it but that doesnt stop the bugs from hitting me in the eyes... what can i do to remedy this situation besides buying a whole new helmet... are there helmet shields with just 3 snaps like the visor?
thanks ahead of time

I'm headed to college, and I'm going to have a part time job thats going to require traveling... And I thought "Maybe a motorcycle would be good!"
My wealthy cousin offered to loan me her IronHorse chopper, but its too much responsibility and not for me...
I'd like a nice starter motorcycle... I hear they are also good on gas...
What would be a good, Safe and reliable motorcycle to drive?
I really don't care about speed or looks, but it has to be affordable...
I just want something that wont fly off the express way...
Thanks, and please help!
And where do I get my motorcycle license?
Thanks Andy Pandy, thats really smart thinking
I'm Planning a road trip from SLC, UT to Orange County then back and staying in Las Vegas. I plan for a 5 day trip with ,800 traveling on Motorcycle. Never been out of state on my bike and never gone more than 200 miles anywhere solo so I plan on making this entirely worth every breath making the moment. I plan on leaving April 15 so what should I expect? As a solo person what should I do in Vegas and Orange county, other than drink, surf, gamble already that's been planned on.
Just thinking of what to see and maybe a what's a must. Any suggestions on how much time I should spend on surfing in OC and how much time with gambling in vegas? Only five days, on bike to and back.
I'm buying a new motorcycle but hate the paint job. I just need a general estimate on the cost of a repaint.
rarely ridden or can these odometers be jacked?
I've been reading about people using a car tire for their motorcycle's rear tire. What are the issues with this? They do it because they can get twice as many miles for half the price with a car tire. Specifically, for cruisers like a Honda 1800 VTX..not for sport or dirt bikes.

I'm a little over 5' tall, have a 30" inseam (i'm a girl) and have been sick for a long time. Now that I'm pretty well recovered from a bypass surgery I want to but myself a motorcycle. I need to know the difference between the Honda shadow (aero, VTX,etc.), Kawasaki Vulcan, and the Suzuki Intruder, C50, Yamaha V Star, etc. I', looking for 500cc to 800cc's. I want to get by on a budget but want the extras like saddlebags, sissy bar, windshield, front floor boards and crash bar. Should I buy a cheaper bike and add all the accessories or buy one that is tricked out already? How many miles is too many? I'd like to stay between 3,500 and 4,500 total but that is not set in stone. Does anyone know the difference in quality of these bikes, and what the % of problems might be for specific brands so I can rate them? I trust the Honda name and never had one I had to get work done on but I'm told they are all pretty much the same. Any advice for a girl who's been out of the game for 15 years or so? I'm trying my best to make an informed decision before I just jump off in to it and make a mistake but I'm getting impatient and confused. Any cycle mechanics got any info. they can share? Which would you pick and why? My family and I are not sure if this is my midlife crises or a legitimate deep, want so I'm worried about going "All In" on the money part.I just turned 50 and was pretty sure I wasn't going to make it! Anyway... Need some good advice. Also where could I take a good motorcycle safety course? I live in Houston, Tx. Any small or detailed answers will be appreciated. Thanks for reading.
I bought an extra motorcycle helmet for , which was really worth more like 0
ok so im not actually going on a bike ride cross country. im writing a book and the main charater is a teenage girl who owns a motorcycle, which she ends up runing away from home on in the end of the book. I DONT NEED ANY WARNINGS NOT TO RIDE A BIKE AT A YOUNG AGE. this is all purely fictional i have no intention of riding the bike myself
I just wonder where can I buy when I'm going back there. Coz here in the US..it's so easy to locate a honda motorcycle dealer. Thank You!
I have read the descriptions of these bike trailer/strollers and I cant seem to figure out why some of them are and some are clear up to 0. I only want a trailer, I dont need it to convert to a stroller. I cant see any other difference with them, does anyone have any experience with these? Thanks!!
The original connector is gone and the wires from the old trailer are different colors that the replacement connector I bought at auto parts store. Thanks.
I just bought a Suomy Spec 1-R Motorcycle helmet, I was going to get an additional visor for it, and was wondering if anyone knows anything about iridium face shields, their characteristics, and if they are any good. Thanks I will definitely pick a best answer. Thanks again for your time!
I just got a new motorcycle, for those of you that may wonder, what kind? It's a 2007 Suzuki M109R. I'm in need of good quality leather clothing please tell me where you buy yours.
I've gotten the motorcycle bug, and have been looking for a vintage 2 stroke 1 cyl bike as a project, and to learn to ride on. I found a 1970 Yamaha CS3-200 locally for 0. It looks great, new tires, starts right up and sounds good. The owner said sometimes it misses the shift between first and second. He said you can start it in second with a lot of gas or when you shift, you sometimes have to hit the shifter a couple times to get it to go in to second gear. Should I buy the bike with the intention of trying to fix this? The following site: http://www.mrcycles.com/fiche_section_detail.asp shows exploded views of all major systems, and has most parts for the shift mech. and tranny. I think it might be part of the shift mech. - parts #9, #10 on the diagram or thereabouts. Put in Yamaha, 1970, CS3 and go to SHIFTER to see exploded view. I'm very mechanically adept, but have never worked on a motorcycle, and can't find much on the CS3-200. Thanks in advance!
I'm going to look at the bike today. VERY good explanation. There's just one thing I'm not clear on, which I suspect will be much clearer when I get things opened up.. But - when you refer to the 'roller' what part exactly is that, #10? Not #21, that's the 'stopper lever'... Right?
I don't mean a harley either, I mean a sports bike pulling a dirt bike. I can always make my own but I just want to make sure there aren't any available first.
Thanks!
I don't have a lot of money right now, but i can keep a stable job no problem. I bought a motorcycle for 500, the owner told me all i had to do was clean the carbs and i was good, but of course he lied and i got a bike i couldn't use. Ive also sunk a lot of money into this bike buying tools and new parts to try and fix it, but I'm at the point where i need to back off and start trying to get something more reliable.
I make a minimum of 130 dollars a week, im 17, i live with my mom and im turning 18 on December 31st. By the time i turn 18 i'm probably gonna be forced to live on my own, so i at least need some form of transportation. I have been riding a bicycle my entire life, and i need something that's actually gonna get me somewhere.
I'm trying to figure out how i could build up my credit really fast so i could try and buy a motorcycle (because I'm not gonna be able to afford much more than that).
I live in California, i have no credit history, and i don't have any convictions or misdemeanors if that might have anything to do with credit. Im just not familiar with credit cards and loans and stuff, so if someone could give me some advice that would be much appreciated.
I cannot find any tests on full face helmets and i just bought a 08 ninja...lm not so much into all that airbrushing designs just want a safe helmet...
