Is it possible to economically reline a motorcycle helmet or would I be better off to buy a new one?
I have a Bell GT2 full face helmet that I bought in 1987 for 5. There is nothing wrong with it except that the interior lining has dried out. All of the rubber, plastic and straps are in excellent condition. It has air vents and most of the features available in the newest helmets. It has never been in any sort of accident or impact. The paint is even in pretty good condition. I'm not cheap. I just hate to throw away something that can be used. I have additional newer helmets that match my bikes. This helmet doesn't match so I stopped wearing it. One of my friends has asked for it to use for off road (quad) riding. I don't want to give it to them if it's unsafe.
I recentley bought a Bran new 2008 Suzuki GSX 650F. It's the replacment for the Katanna. I bought it out the door for 50.00. Tax tag, everything. The other dealership I went to wanted over 00 out the door after haggling. I added the 5 year warranty for another 0.00 that did NOT include maintenance.
Now my buddy sez he went to the more expensive dealer for my bike and bought a bran new 2008 Suzuki GSX 600R. He got the bike, 3 year warranty and all maintenance, a new helmet, and a full Suzuki Riding Suit for 00.00.
Is he full of Crud, because the list price is 00.00 And if it's true, how the hell did he pull off this deal when I haggled for over 2 hours at BOTH dealerships before I got the price I got?
Thanks.
I need new tires for a '92 Suzuki Katana 600. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
I just read about Honda closing down the motorcycle assembly plant in Ohio. I am looking for a different used bike to buy for spring, and the themes kind of blended. Which models did Honda assemble there, especially in the 15 years? I know currently the VTX1800/1300 and Goldwing. Thanks.
I am looking for the Wal-Mart of motorcycle helmets. Something cheap, but not too bad looking. Just something to keep me legal. Prefer full faced helmet, in the Nashville, TN area.
How do I sue the *** out of Yamaha motorcycles? I am mad at them because in one of their magazine advertisements they advertise their deadly quad bikes and dirt bikes to elementary school aged children. On the advertisement photo are displayed a girl about the age of 10 and a boy about the age of 12 standing hapilly next to their quad/dirt bikes that their irresponsible parents had purchased for them as if it's a toy. How could Americans be so retarded? Who in their right mind purchases a death machine for their school aged children? They may never live to be the age of 18. You may never ever see them grow up since the dirt bike you bought them killed them. Or paralized them for life which is even worse. I want to know why you parents do this sort of stuff and why you're not even arrested for such unethical behavior? Because every year many American children die on such deadly recreation vehicles.
I also what to know what is the process of Sueing Yamaha Motorcycles.
If I get a 3 wheeled bike, can I hook up my bike trailer for the kids to the back of it? Will it make me off balance, create a pull, or stick out?
I am looking for a motorcycle trailer that I can pull behind my motorcycle. I have a V Star 1100. I don't want to have one custom made I only have about a thousand dollars to spend. I live in texas. it would be nice if you knew of any website. the only one I can find is www.piggybacker.com what is your opinion of this trailer. It looks like it would soot my needs. I just don't know if it is sturdy enough. thanks
I have been using a headphone plugged into one ear, but its not that great, Can someone help me find a website or place that offers motorcycle helmets with speaker options? I really want to listen to music on long trips.
DirtyTrickRacing, even on one side? Even it was low volume....
I want to buy a motorcycle from Elektra. The main brand is Italika. I see many people in Guanajuato with those nice looking bikes.Suzuki motorcycles seem to be very expensive in the U.S. Suzuki seems to be also expensive in Mexico. What about the permit? is that also expensive?

What is the cheapest price a Suzuki could be in Mexico?
My SV650 has been in storage since November (in Chicago). I moved it once in December. It's not on a lift, so i'm worried the wheels will develop flat spots. How long do flat spots usually take to develp. If they do, are new tires the only option? It's in a garage, but the door is not always closed, so the garage does get cold.
I think I want a 12.1" screen so it will be as compact as possible. I want WiFi, disc burner, if possible. Do they make that size "hardened" if that's the right phrase.
I want to know if the older bike will need more repairs than a newer one and if its worth the look to get a 70's cl350 or a cb750. Im open to any suggestions of other bikes too.
Has anyone ever used "cyclepartsnation.com" to buy motorcycle parts? Should I trust it?
Are there any other good sites I should now about?
Preferably around Boston
Can you bypass the dealership and buy a Yamaha motorcycle directly?
Also, if you intend to pay in full with cash, how much can you expect to pay vs. buying on credit(%)?
We just moved from the cypress alligator swamps to the northern bear mountains! I have a hefty 4yr old boy (55lbs) and little 2yr girl (22lbs). We are VERY outdoorsy and need a sturdy new stroller. We walk every day and bike twice a week. Can I get away with buying an in-step bike trailer that converts into a stroller...or do I need to buy a stroller too?
What brand has worked for you? Is my son too big/heavy? The specs say max. weight 100lbs for everything.
I hear BMW motorcycles run for a long time but is it worth buying a used BMW motorcycle with 43500km (27000miles) on it? Or is that just asking for maintenance/engine problems?
I'm brand new to motorcycles and need to buy a helmet. What brands are reliable? How much should I spend? What features are important? Any info would help, thanks.
Oh and does it look silly to get a full face helmet when riding on a cruising bike?
I'll be riding on the back of a Honda Shadow.
